Christmas Morning - 6:15 a.m. the Saddle

Took the high road from the saddle up to Vineyard Mountain. There is/was 3" of new snow in the parking lot. For the first third it was pretty easy only 3" to 5" of new snow, then it got deeper. If it wasn't for a truck that drove up before, I wouldn't have made it. It is a weird feeling to be peddling and have your peddels hit the snow on each side. There was about 8" to 10" of snow on top if you got outside of the truck track. Snow was good and tacky, not slick, good traction with low air pressure. Took 30 mins to get to the light tower, 15 mins to get down. Back for Christmas breakfast by 7:15 a.m.
